WOOD 2010 and Wood Summit Småland 2010 - the third major exhibition for the promotion of wood construction and architecture to be held at Virserum Art Museum
Virserum Art Museum has been arranging Sweden’s biggest exhibitions on wood and
wood architecture since 2004. The latest exhibition was called WOOD 2010. The
theme was the climate, sustainability / sustainable cities and the
world's best wood architecture. The theme has resulted in the call for an
Architecture of Necessity which was launched in September and has been
disseminated via email.
Wood Summit 2010 was done in conjunction with WOOD 2010. The seminar intends to tackle issues of climate change, urban planning, sustainable development and the role of wood and architecture in society.

The exhibition in 2010 showcaseed the world's best wood architecture. The exhibition is now on a tour of Scandinavia and Europe for a period of approximately two years where it will been seen by an estimated 200,000 visitors. Information on the exhibition you can find here.
